Thank you for visiting Clownster. Yes, this is essentially just another comedy review site –like Chortle… only less professional, exhaustive or well written. But we hope you’ll still enjoy our reviews and the shows we recommend.
We may have only started this site in 2016 but we have been fans of live comedy for years and admire anyone who has the guts to take to a spot lit stage, in front of an unknown crowd, armed with just a microphone and their wits.
We are not looking for free tickets, we just want to share the experience of live comedy, in all its forms, and try to entice as many new people to go and give it a try as we can.
So far we seem to have been doing something right as our readership has grown each year and we have even started seeing our reviews appear on posters – a sight that, to this day, still gives us a warm fuzzy feeling.
And so, with a positive outlook –and a need for drinks and laughter– we offer up our 2 cents. Welcome to our little big top, bring on the clowns!
